The Pioneer Pipeline delivers 130 MMcf/d of Sweet Natural Gas to TransAlta Corporation’s Keephills and Sundance Facilities. Tidewater and TransAlta each own a 50% interest in the Pioneer Pipeline which is backstopped by a 15-year take-or-pay agreement from TransAlta at market rate tolls. On September 30th, 2020 Tidewater announced that, with its partner TransAlta Corporation, it has entered into a definitive Purchase and Sale Agreement with respect to the sale of the Pioneer Pipeline to ATCO Gas and Pipelines Ltd.
