Prince George Refinery
12.0 Mbbl/d light oil refinery that predominantly produces low sulfur diesel and gasoline, in addition to other products, to supply the greater Prince George region.
The Prince George Refinery (PGR) is the sole refinery in the BC interior, serving consumer and commercial demand throughout the region
- Tidewater acquired PGR in 2019 from Husky, the refinery subsequently posted 6 and 7 year high throughput volumes in 2020 and 2021.
- PGR is strategically located in a unique market, as British Columbia and the Prince George region sit in a net refined products import position.
- Several large infrastructure projects create incremental demand, including BC Hydro’s Site C Dam, Coastal GasLink, and the Trans Mountain Pipeline.
- The PGR currently has co-processing capability, and is the site of Tidewater Renewables’ 3,000 bbl/d HDRD facility
