Mr. Baines is the Chief Executive Officer and a Director of Tidewater Midstream. Mr. Baines has spent over 27 years at midstream and infrastructure businesses, and brings a strong background in operations, finance, and corporate development. Mr. Baines brings a deep understanding of the business and industry and a track record of success in optimizing and growing companies. Prior to joining Tidewater, Mr. Baines was President and Chief Executive Officer of Campus Energy Partners, a new energy infrastructure and supply company. Mr. Baines has also held several senior positions at AltaGas, including Senior Vice President, Strategic Projects, Vice President of Field Gathering and Processing, Vice President of Business Development and Vice President of Finance, and was Chief Financial Officer at Torq Energy Logistics.
Mr. Baines received an MBA degree from University of Alberta.
Mr. Ames assumed the role of interim Chief Financial Officer of Tidewater in January 2024, bringing over two decades of experience as a senior financial executive. Prior to his tenure at Tidewater, Mr. Ames served as CFO for a diverse range of successful public companies across the manufacturing, mining, and entertainment sectors. His distinguished career is highlighted by a consistent track record of optimizing profitability as CFO, along with a wealth of experience in effectively managing substantial financial portfolios.
Mr. Ames holds a Master of Finance and Accounting from Case Western Reserve University, is a Chartered Professional Accountant, and a Certified Public Accountant.
Mr. Chicilo joined Tidewater in 2022 as General Counsel and was named EVP Shared Services, Chief Legal Officer and Corporate Secretary in February of 2023. He has over 20 years of experience in the energy industry including over 10 years in the midstream space. Prior to joining Tidewater, Mr. Chicilo was Associate General Counsel at Inter Pipeline Ltd. Additionally, he was a Legal Manager at Enmax Corporation and practiced in the Energy group at Blakes LLP. Mr. Chicilo obtained both a Bachelor of Commerce and a Juris Doctor from the University of Saskatchewan.
Mr. Gurevitch is the Executive Vice President, Midstream Commercial and has been with Tidewater since 2017. He is responsible for all Commercial and Marketing activity related to Tidewater’s Gas Processing, Gas Storage and NGL Fractionation businesses.
Mr. Gurevitch brings over 10 years Midstream and commodity marketing experience specifically in Natural Gas, NGL and Sulphur. Prior to joining Tidewater, Mr. Gurevitch was part of the Ethane and Natural Gas team at Plains Midstream Canada where he focused on Gas Supply and Commercial activity related to their Straddle Plant business.
Mr. Gurevitch holds a Bachelor of Commerce degree and graduated from the University of Calgary in 2011.
Mr. Heaney has been with Tidewater and its affiliates since September 2021, bringing over 10 years of capital markets and energy industry experience. Previously, he was a member of the Energy & Power investment banking team at BofA Securities, where he assisted in the execution of various mergers and acquisitions, equity and debt financings. Prior to, Mr. Heaney was also part of the investment banking group of Macquarie Capital Markets Canada Ltd. Mr. Heaney holds a Bachelor of Commerce, with a concentration in finance and accounting, from the University of Alberta.
John is the Executive Vice President of Midstream Operations, responsible for all Tidewater Midstream assets within Alberta.
Over the past 30 years, John has been focused on safely operating and managing upstream and midstream operations across North America.
He is highly experienced in all aspects of processing and gathering, operations and maintenance, facilities construction, personal safety and asset integrity.
Prior to joining Tidewater in 2019, John held various executive and field leadership roles at Talisman Energy, Repsol and Vesta Energy.
Matt is the Executive Vice President, Downstream Operations responsible for all downstream assets at Tidewater Midstream and Infrastructure.
Matt has over 22 years of energy industry experience with the past 16 years in refining across process engineering, optimization and operations management roles.
Matt holds a B.Sc. in Chemical Engineering and is a registered Professional Engineer.
Prior to joining Tidewater through the 2019 acquisition of the Prince George Refinery, Matt held various roles across Western Canada with Husky Energy.
Jeff is the Executive Vice President Commercial, Downstream responsible for all Commercial business across the Downstream assets at Tidewater Midstream and Infrastructure.
Jeff has over 24 years of experience in commercial and leadership roles in the Supply and Trading business across the crude, finished products and by-products businesses in North America.
Jeff has a Professional Engineering designation, and MBA and is a CFA charter holder.
Prior to joining Tidewater in 2023, Jeff held various commercial leadership roles at Suncor Energy.
